Product Features and Sales Information:

What is Reef Secure?

· Reef Secure is a 100% all-natural mineral supplement for all marine aquariums.

· It provides over 60 elements in natural (not chemical) forms, which makes it more readily absorbable by aquatic life.

· It will also directly feed filtering organisms while in suspension, by supplying the minerals directly to the animal rather than by elemental exchange in the water.

· It also has several other benefits that help to make it one of the best on the market.

1. It can reduce organics by actually binding together waste products into larger more easily trappable particles that can then be removed from the system by mechanical filtration or foam fractionation.

2. This is also where it’s ability to improve skimmer and mechanical filtration comes from.

3. It can also remove the yellowish color that develops in tanks that incorporate a refugium, or reverse daylight system. It does this by again binding together the yellowing compounds (gelvin) into larger particles that can then be removed.

Will I See A Difference?

· Yes, you CAN actually see the improvements in the aquarium after only a short period of addition.

  1. Soft Corals- e.g. leathers, buttons, mushrooms, xenia etc. are fuller, larger and more "fluffy" than without reef secure.

2. Sponges & Tunicates- Increase growth rate and color. You’ll be amazed how much these start to grow after adding the product.

 3. Hard Corals- e.g. LPS & SPS increase polyp expansion and "fluffiness" although it takes a bit more time of addition (1 month or so).

4. Fish - Colors and growth rates will increase in fish again after about a month or so of addition.

5. Inverts- e.g. Starfish, cucumbers etc will also get great benefit and improved growth of off reef secure

Can it do anything bad?

· No, because Reef Secure is all-natural and has powerful binding properties it cannot in any way cause an increase in algae, nitrates, phosphates and silicates.

· It cannot be overdosed. Adding more than normal is not required, but will cause NO ill effects.

· Because it binds wastes and makes the filters work more effectively, you actually are reducing the BOD at the same time you are adding minerals to make the bacteria, micro fauna work more efficiently.

How do you add it to the Aquarium?

· Reef Secure is to be added at a dose rate of 1 level teaspoon per 50 gallons every day.

· It is to be added to a high flow are in order to properly disperse the product in order to keep it in suspension as long as possible for target feeding. You can just put some aquarium water in a cup of water and shake it up to then be added.

· It CAN be added directly to make-up water just prior to adding it to the aquarium. DO NOT leave Reef Secure in any water for a prolonged period before adding to the aquarium, this is because it starts attempting to clean and add minerals to the water as soon as it is wet. Leaving the product in water for a long time before adding to the aquarium, will just make it less beneficial to the animals.

· It can also be added right in front of, or directly into the intake/sump return to allow the pump to disperse automatically.

What else needs to be added with Reef Secure?

· To achieve a complete elemental balance in your aquarium, there are a couple of things that must be added in addition to just Reef Secure.

1. A Calcium Supplement is required in higher drawing situations such as a hard coral reef. This product does have calcium and is a sufficient level for Fish Only tanks or some soft coral tanks. As with any situation, a calcium test is recommended to keep levels 400ppm-450ppm.

2. A Buffer Supplement is required, when needed, as this product DOES NOT contain the major required buffers. It does however contain Boron. Cool Corals Products soon to be released buffer will be the perfect match in buffering with Reef Secure.

3. An Iodine Supplement may be required, again, in high draw situations e.g.- soft coral, hard coral tanks. Typically, because of lack of a good test, iodine levels are maintained by visual acuity and should be monitored however the hobbyist traditionally does it.

· A monthly 10-20% water change is recommended with all aquariums. It is our opinion that "Total Elemental Balance" cannot be maintained long-term without water changes. From this, regular water changes are still required.
